Want to buy cat collar but having issues

My cat escapes often and i wanted to buy her a cat collar with a tag including her name and my phone number as she ended up down the street at someone else's house for a few days before we happened to see her behind their fence. They had been feeding her and assumed she was a stray cat so they kept her.

I want to buy the collar with information but I know you need breakaway collars. My issue is her breaking loose from the collar, and me having to buy a new one over and over again with a new tag and everything. I feel that may get expensive, depending on how often she breaks loose from them.

I was thinking of getting some kind of tracker on the collar so if she breaks loose from the collar we could track it and retrieve it instead of buying a new one, bonus would be being able to track her but the main thing would be finding the collar if it gets lost.

I was thinking of an air tag but i don't have an iPhone. I also saw there was gps trackers but those use a monthly subscription.
