What’s the most exciting concert you’ve been to?

I’ve been thinking about artists that absolutely topped out with a performance. My favorite of all time was seeing Them Crooked Vultures at The Wiltern. John Paul Jones did the encore by himself, and it was magic. Almost simultaneously people just started chanting “John Paul Jones! John Paul Jones!” Or maybe I started the chant. I was excited and it’s hard to remember.

Van Halen with the almost-original lineup was great. I snuck up to the front row for that one just in time to hear Eruption at full blast.

I don’t even like Skrillex’s music, but I can tell you it’s a thrill to be at one of his pool parties. I have a real fondness for that man and his performance skills. Or skrills. He probably calls them skrills.
