Wrongly Issued E-Challan for Parking in No parking zone – Is Raising a Grievance Worth It?

I recently received an e-challan for parking in a no-parking zone, but I’m sure I didn’t park there illegally. The problem is, I got the challan long after I had already left the spot, so I didn’t even get a chance to verify anything on the spot.

The only "proof" uploaded by the police is just an image of my car number, which doesn’t really prove anything about where or how it was parked. Unfortunately, I don’t have any evidence to counter this since I wasn’t expecting a challan in the first place.

I’m thinking of raising a grievance, but given the lack of proof on my end, would it even be worth the effort? Has anyone here successfully contested an e-challan in a similar situation?

Would love to hear your experiences or any tips on what I should do next!
