I'm conflicted on whether I should keep my sports car and interested to hear from others.

I've had a long running project JDM coupe and i'm beginning to wonder whether i should let go of my nostalgia and sell it, or whether my other half is right in wanting to keep what will essentially be the last of it's kind (a dirty cheap i4 turbo coupe that's a little faster than it should be).
Cars were a massive hobby of mine in my late teens/early 20s, when i had a lot more expendable time and money. A large bulk of the work on this project was done during this time. Since then, the car sits dormant waiting for it's next cash injection to fix that little issue/replace that now dead part etc.

I'm interested to hear from those who were in a similar boat and
a) ended up selling their cars; Was there any regret at any point? How do you feel about it now?

b) ended up keeping their cars and finishing it off; Was it worth it? Do you wish you had spent the money elsewhere?

edit: The car is '96 Nissan 180sx
edit2: yeah alright, i might just hang on to the old coke can then.
