The real problem with the CX-5 Turbo

We have a CX-5 Turbo since 3 months ago. Already 5.000 Kms. on it, mostly on Highway trips. Me and my family are currently on vacation.

Previously, we had a 2017 Mazda6 2.5 NA. Our frequent summer trip is to my wife's family city, 450 kms. from our home.

With the Mazda6 2.5 NA, we could do the trip and 220-230 Kms. range remained on our tank.

With the CX-5 Turbo, only 50 Kms. left. We had to refuel immediately after we arrived.

The real problem with the CX-5 Turbo is not (only) the bad MPG, on city AND highway.

The real problem and inconvenience that nobody really told you is the ridiculously SMALL GAS TANK. It's too small for this engine. Seriously. You need to attend every gas station, every week.

Probably with the NA engine you will mostly fine. But with the Turbo, this can't handle long trips at once. In the end, the car ironically will be "slower" because the number of times you will need to stop for gas and then have to overtake again every slower truck or car that already you passed before in complex one-way roads, like a Pit Stop.

P.D.: Great vehicle, anyway. But, if I could turn back time, I would choose the NA.
