Carbon Edition
Recently joined the CX5 club. Learned to drive on a Mazda3, this was my first purchase of a mazda, won't be my last. I wanted a 3 hatch but practicality steered me to the 2024 CX 5 carbon edition. Let's just say I'm very pleased with the decision.
I drive on interstates(speed limit 40-50) with a good amount of backroads with stop and go. I'm managing about 28.3 mpg with crafty driving. I go thru a half tank on my way to work in a week. I'm impressed with the fuel efficiency.
I think it has plenty of power(you won't win a drag race) but getting up to speed on the highways is fine as is passing. I think people complaining about the power don't step on the gas enough.
Love the red leather interior. It was one of the deciding factors in the car. Bose, moonroof and heated seats are all great. The interior is very well put together and makes the car seem much more expensive than it is.
I feel like some of the plastic on the body is a little loose but it just seems to be how they're made. I also hate the hood prop. The hood prop is the worse thing about the car imo.
All in all I look forward to driving this for many years.
