For God’s sake! Update your software equipment/website!

Does anybody still use these registers? Some of the stores in my area still do. These registers are slow, buggy, and really need to be put out of their misery. I really don’t know why we are still using an OS interface from the 90’s in 2024. Sometimes these registers can be so incredibly unresponsive to the point where we would have to reboot them again and it can usually take longer than 5 minutes. I worked at a Party City (which filed for Chapter 11 a couple of years ago) and they managed to have updated registers there. This is a billion dollar company that refuses to update outdated technology. I also want to include the CVS website, which is also a complete mess. I have many customers tell me how slow and unresponsive the website is when trying to order items/photos online. It’s not user friendly and it’s just a pain to get through. I ordered photos at one point on their website and it took me a good while to get them placed because the website has delayed responses. Again, billion dollar company and they don’t have a functioning website? Update your software!
