Changing diagnosis officially, maybe?

I was diagnosed with a mood disorder at age 18 and have been on top of it with meds. They have worked with a few depressive episodes that sent me to the mental hospital. Nobody asked me if anything had triggered the event, they up my meds though.

Now at 35 I have been diagnosed with C-PTSD with a "straw on a camel's back," 2024. I don't not want to be undiagnosed with the mood disorder and change up my medication, which have been helpful for most of the symptoms of CPTSD like the looping thoughts, very delayed trauma reaponses which probably look like mood swings rather than the pain in my brain and in my body from the CPTSD. So many symptoms which overlap with symptoms of my diagnosed mood disorder.

How can I get reassessed? I was diagnosed it 18.

I just want to warn everybody that the stigma of having a mood disorder (in court for me) will be used against you. Despite witness statements, doctor statements... a diagnosis of CPTSD is completely irrelevant. Just know, "mother agrees to continue seeing and following advice from mental health professionals," isn't actually written for your benefit or protection, because next the bipolar part will be brought up and everyone thinks "she's gonna burn down the building," instead of understanding bipolar2 as the depressed stressed mess aka CPTSD survivor.

Thank you.
