selling low cost index funds?
I'm not a certified financial planner, I work in corporate finance (MBA and CPA). A lot of people reach out to me for financial advice and I love to help them. I don't love what I do for work, investor relations, as much as I like helping people. Friends constantly keep telling me to open a business with Morgan Stanley or start my own firm so they can move their assets to me.
I was curious if I should become a financial advisor but I don't have a passion for selling high cost products. I have close friends and family who would be ready to move around $100m and maybe another $200m from the wider network. Im independently wealthy but I like the idea of starting a business that can help people and stop looking at spreadsheets and atttending dull meetings. Is there any financial advisors who make money managing money but using mostly 'selling' low cost index funds?
