Just started class 10 , any tips?

My main issue rn is choosing what yt channel to watch , should I even? Last year I did so just to make notes and understand the basics and scored decent marks , do you guys have any recommendations on how to where to make notes from or resources? Should I just depend on the ncert and make notes by myself? Also what material should I buy?
