Here i am again
I guess paradoxically nm kept its vows. It literally went by the scoring system it declared. Folks who are easier to place aka good work ex and/or double 8 acads got in. Competency test was bound to be shady. Pi was not the deciding factor. And most probably no internal cutoffs.
In the end it was a gamble and like all gambles u could either lose 100% or win 1000%. I even saw one person who got 62 in qa and still made it to nm something which was impossible till last year.
Here's my takeaway. Indian economy aint gonna improve any time soon and business schools are running...well business. So while ur aptitude scores are important whats more important is how "placeable" u r. I wasnt placeable enough.
Nm was one of the few decent well connected mba programs that didnt over prioritize acads. Well that changed....
Times are definitely gonna get tougher
