New employee just had orientation & confused

I just got hired at Burlington. This is my first job and I've only done the online video training stuff so far. When I finished all the vids, the manager gave me my lanyard and then left and didn't tell me what to do so I just left? Idk if I was supposed to maybe I should've asked but I didn't know where he went. The next day I looked on the app and saw I wasn't scheduled at all which I thought was just because I was still training but I wasn't given any sort of training schedule or anything so I called the store and spoke to whatever manager was working at that time. I asked them if I was supposed to work that day or what and they just scheduled me for a couple days later. I still don't have a schedule so that's really annoying. Like are they going to give me one? Also the dress code in the videos said black shirt and khaki pants but when I interviewed the manager told me "plain shirt and plain pants" so what does that mean? Like can I wear any color shirt and what are plain pants? like jeans? I don't remember what the other employees were wearing so I'll have to look when I work next. I really don't want to have to buy khaki pants and I also won't have money for them until my first paycheck so jeans will hopefully work until then. Also I'm assuming close toed shoes but I didn't hear anything about that so? Is there any dress code about shoes?
