Very small budget stereo system

I’d like to build a small stereo system for my desktop. A really small system, physically.

I’d like something like small PC speakers in size but as good as it gets at that size, for a budget price.

I basically want to be able to connect my source (2 sources would be great but not required) to an amp connected to small stereo speakers.
