to the moon and back
Is what we used to say.
I am left with the vastness of space to explore, grateful for this opportunity to start fresh, as only one round-trip ticket was purchased. I don’t look up gazing at the Earth reminiscing of home; instead, I look up, amazed at how far this journey has taken me. Every passing asteroid presented new challenges to overcome, and it wasn't until the crash landing on the lunar surface that my dreams and ambitions crystallized in the absence of bad weather.
I refuse to be tethered to what once was. Entire universes shimmer in the reflections of our eyes, where new beginnings glow like distant galaxies, reminding me that even in the vastness, I am never truly alone.
I am moving the moon in its entirety into the cosmos. I loved you here, but I will not love you back; my next love will hear “To the stars and through galaxies.”
As I journey onward, I wish you a safe return to Earth. Know that I am not coming back, and I hope you find solace in the memories we shared and the strength to acknowledge the past. Embrace the light ahead; I trust you will navigate it with grace, finding your own light among the stars.
