To Americans who are boycotting the US

I'm very curious about what life is like for Americans who support the boycott and hate their government.

As an anxious Canadian I've been reading up on what citizens can do to resist outside forces of invasion and support their country (in our worst case scenario) - a lot of it is just going about your normal life and what you would have done anyway: go to work, pay taxes, get married, have children, consume products/services especially locally, volunteer, support your community (etc etc, again whatever you would have done, this isnt a checklist).

So I'm wondering, are there Americans that are doing the opposite of this? As in is there an actual significant group of people in the US who are just checking out of "regular" life (sorry I dont know how to say this) by extreme measures like getting sterilized, avoiding taxes, working and consuming as little as possible, extended protesting, etc? Or are people just buying maple syrup and posting that the US sucks on social media?

*This is in no way a judgmental post, I actually would like to know wtf is going on in the US as I'm hearing SO LITTLE about how everyday Americans are acting right now, please let us know what's going on and include your state!*
