Shouto Todoroki faces consequences.
Todoroki was a dick early on. He had an understandable reason, but he was still a dick. So, what if we take "Katsuki faces consequences" story and apply it to him instead?
Tooru catches frostbite during bomb exercise and half the class shits and Shouto because of it.
It happens again in USJ, but to be fair, this time he just didn't know Hagakure was nearby.
In Sports Festival 1st stage, frozen Zero Pointer falls on a guy without super durability. This causes severe damage to the victim.
In final stage, his giant glacier causes Tsuyu (and maybe some other guys) to fall into hibernation. Turns out it's kind of bad for her health.
"It's you fire" speech and fight as usual.
After festival is over, Nezu decides to expel Todoroki for his consistently terrible attitude and reckless endangerment of others. He was fine with not seeing fire used but those two were a no go. Now Shouto has to do his character development without Izuku acting as an emotinal crutch. Will he become a vigilante? Get kidnapped by the League? Who knows.
As much as I like Katsuki bashing, I wish we had more variety in this subgenre. There are plenty of characters deserving of such fics. Having a sob origin story doesn't give you a right to be an asshole.
