Did it bother anyone else how powerful they made Abijah Fowler?

Like I get it, he’s the main antagonist so we need a good fight, but the fact that they made him a master swordsman who seems better at sword fighting than all than all these Japanese characters who train in sword fighting their whole lives seems odd. They could’ve given him power in another way? Idk.
