BF2: Modern Combat PS2 vs Xbox differences

I used to love playing BF2MC on my ps2, almost got all the medals and achievements. Recently I saw a Xbox copy for couple of dollars on ebay, I bought it and it seemed like a completely different game.

Many assets were different. Stinger locations were different, aerial strike (briefcase thingy), difficulty curve was different, number of people you get is different. I fired up pcsx2 and it looks like what I remembered.

Does anyone else experience the same? Are there any more variations?

And is there any other game with such hotswap features?
