NPC Sieges

Do those ever fail? Like i have seen armies arrive and scare them off, but i have never seen an army fail to conquer a town. Do they always bring enough soldiers?

Edit: Apparently iam just not paying attentio :D will try to do better in the future, thanks for the feedback guys ^^
