Apartment vs long term Airbnb??
My gf and I will be moving to Bangkok this summer on a 2 year teaching contract and are looking at housing options. Long term Airbnb’s (6-8 months at a time) look really nice. They seem to be at the same price or cheaper than traditional apartments, there isn’t a contract with first/last months rent, a 1 month rent deposit, or 1 months rent as the brokerage fee. They look like they are better furnished and stocked than apartments, and if we don’t like it, we can move to a new spot. Are there any glaring negatives that I’m missing or am ignorant about as a newcomer to Thailand? The target area is Bang Na.
