I think I messed up bad

I'm in a dungeon and walked right in front of a one of those laser statues. For some reason instead of walking away, I saved the game, but was then killed immediately afterwards. Now that wouldn't be that big of a problem if my last save wasn't made 2.5 hours ago.

Every time I load in I try to enter turn-based mode, but the entire party is dead before I manage to do it. Is there any mod that can help me solve this (very easily avoided) mistake?
