ethically, how do bakers feel about selling hyperrealistic baby shaped cakes? how SHOULD they feel?
my cousin wanted to get a hyperrealistic baby cake for her 8 month old's christening but i am very hesitant. she has a contact who does hyperrealistic cakes and when she called the baker, they agreed and asked my cousin to send over some references + asked to have 1 more call after they're done w/ the sketch + the down payment. My cousin always had eccentric choices, but I've never heard anyone getting a hyperrealistic baby cake AT a christening. It feels like child sacrifice a bit, no???
Am I thinking it over too much? what if the cake was to be used for wrong intentions? I also don't feel comfortable about eating something that looks like my nephew. doesn't this seem insane to anyone else? just me?
