Ducking for crowd surfers

so i saw Bad Omens for the first time in Dallas earlier this month and i went to both shows. i’m 26 and i’ve been going to concerts in this scene and others since i was 14. i kept to myself those first couple of years and that’s basically how i learned concert etiquette.

i know people talk online about how concert etiquette has been messed up for the last couple of years, but i’ve never seen people DUCK before crowd surfers reach them, leaving the rest of us to make up for it. i saw this from multiple people on night 2 in Dallas (i was dead center, around the third or fourth row) and was so annoyed. am i wrong or is this actually crazy and wrong for people to be ducking because of crowd surfers?
