Smarty Pants gummy prenatals and cystic acne

Hi everyone! I hope I’m not being redundant. I’ve seen similar posts about prenatals but none that specifically matched my scenario and I wanted to see if I was overreacting.

Long story short, I’m acne prone and have struggled with cystic acne in the past, but I’ve been clear with the occasional breakout for years. I’ve been taking Smarty Pants gummy prenatals off and on for almost a year now and just recently started TTC.

I have a MASSIVE hard cyst on my forehead that is unlike anything I’ve ever had. I never ever break out on my forehead and this is so giant and isn’t healing. I also broke out around my jaw and all of the zits are huge and buried under my skin.

I had taken a break from prenatals for a few months because we were not actively trying to conceive. I just recently started taking them religiously again and this breakout seems to coincide with that.

Has anyone else experienced this with Smarty Pants gummies? I have read that biotin can trigger acne but I also read that the amount in smarty pants is fairly minimal and is usually well tolerated.

I’m switching to Olly for now to see if it helps but my husband thinks I’m being hasty. I just really want to avoid a massive breakout if I can. I had a very long road with cystic acne and my face is visibly scarred. Don’t want to add more if I don’t have to. :/
