drive train fault middle of highway

I just had a drive train fault indicator while doing about 20 mph in traffic on the highway. It indicated to pull over, just as I was turning the wheel to get off the car stopped. I was stuck on the side of the road after traffic suddenly picked up speed with cars swerving around me.

I’ve only had the car for 3 months, one of the worst car experiences I’ve ever had in my life. State police came after I was dialing people frantically and then I was able to get the car off the road. Two tow trucks and nasty service center people who won’t even reimburse the tow cost off of the highway.

I don’t know what to say but that was a pretty fucked up experience where I had cars almost hitting me for like 10 minutes straight

Update: BMW took about a month to fix the car. Lemon law is roughly over 20 days according to the lease. The BMW North America got back to me from their ‘corporate office’ after not responding to anything that they aren’t going to do anything regarding switching car to gas or releasing from the lease. There’s lawyers all over for lemon law so I reached out to one, they don’t charge anything and they pursue it for you with BMW. I went with Robison Lemon Law so we’ll see how it goes. They mentioned they’ll possibly get money out of the whole issue but release from lease isn’t guaranteed unless the issue happens again.

Kinda sad, this issue is rampant a lot of folks are experiencing drive train issue from my brief research. BMW should do better than this. You will lose me as a customer forever.
