Check engine light. Evap small leak. Smell of gas after filling up the tank but Does not smell in the cabin. Any ideas what it could be?

Please help. I have a 2013 BMW 328i. The check engine light comes on and stays on. The fuel pump was replaced about 2 years ago. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
