If plasma bending is ever a thing (besides lightning) I hope it looks like the northern lights.

Because like auroras are plasma based phenomena which comes from the earths interaction with the sun aka solar winds.

So makes sense that fire benders would be tied to them in some way. Maybe would be peak fire bending to produce them and rainbow fire is just a step towards that. Lighting + rainbow fire?
