What are my rights? Annoyed Strata owner.
I made the mistake of buying a unit/villa that's part of a strata complex as my first home in 2021, as it's all I could afford at the time.
I have just put through a pet application for a rescue greyhound I have recently got. That concept is wild to me as an owner, but nonetheless, I did it.
There is a cranky, aggressive old man a few units down who has been the sole rejecter of my application. He has stated excessive barking during the night. My dog does not bark. I know that's hard to believe, but it's true. He is also very rarely, if ever, at home alone. However, the barking is coming from the owners of the dog in a property next door to the complex. I have video evidence of my dog not barking when the other dogs are barking.
The application will need to go to the general meeting in a few weeks time. I have supplied the evidence to the strata corporation. I'm just wondering, if the application is refused, what are my options from there? Can I request a review? Can I reject their rejection lol... Just looking for some advice...
