Job Disinterest
This is coming from a privileged position - but I feel so unmotivated at work (big 4 bank finance). I worked big 4 accounting and moved to big 4 bank, in both places I have felt my job become meaningless - posting a number plug a gap, funding arguments back and forth that ultimately lead to nothing, stressing so much about 1mil that ends up immaterial...it all feels mundane but frantic at the same time.
I should appreciate that I have a job in the current market but i feel like life is just passing day by day. Weekends are my best days, and I look forward to them so much.
I've gone through this rut before, so i picked up some hobbies (sports, gym, cooking), but i think it's not enough. Has anyone been in a similar position and made a career change? How has your journey been? I think I enjoy hands on things where the end output is tangible - wild 180, maybe carpentry or a trade. But I would be starting from scratch - in something I might not actually be skilled in.
