Advice please: Husband so depressed he can't get out of bed

My husband has chronic depression, but it's worse now than I've ever seen it. He's only gotten out of bed the past 3 days to use the bathroom and get food. He's called in sick to work for 2 days now.

He's on an antidepressant but does not currently see a therapist. He seems unable to do anything (contact his doctor, look up his work benefits, etc). I'm busy AF (and frankly, exhausted) working full time and solo parenting so have very little time to do those things.

My biggest worry right now is how long he can call in sick and keep his job. I'm a substitute teacher, which is a decent second income but won't pay our mortgage.

Any advice is welcome!

Update: Positive development! I had been texting with his work buddy re: where to find info on benefits, and the buddy called and got him to go out for breakfast, and he says he's going to work tonight. Still lots to do, but he got out of bed, showered, and left the house, so that's progress. Thanks to everyone for the helpful advice!

Update to the update: We made a phone appointment with his doctor for tomorrow, and got a list of local therapists who take our insurance.
