Halloween?

GF and I are thinking about making plans for NOLA for Halloween this year. My pal who lives there said Krewe of BOO! is a fun parade, but that’s on 10/25. We were thinking we’d come for actual Halloween. What should we consider when making plans? Would it be better to come for Krewe of BOO than come for actual Halloween? We were thinking about flying in 10/30 and leaving 11/3 but if Krewe of BOO! is worth it, we could just fly in 10/24 and leave 10/27
