will it still be possible to live in los angeles/california comfortably by time im in my late 20's?

i'm basically wondering if it will still be feasible to live the life i envisioned in california by time im in my late 20s early 30s (27-32 years old). right now im a 20 year old college student on the pre-med track, so i'll likely be entering medicine as a doctor.

however, a lot of people around me have done a lot of fearmongering about california, especially about safety and prices. they say that by time i am old enough to live on my own, california (sf + la + sd) will be financially and culturally degraded by time i reach that age. among other things, people around me have just made it seem like an non-ideal living situation. it's especially bad as i live in oklahoma, which has a vastly different political agenda than california.

i've always envisioned moving to california longterm when im eventually more stable, hopefully starting a family here, settling down, and enjoying everything the state has to offer (great weather, wonderful sights, culture, coastal location, among other things that oklahoma can't offer). i've always thought of it as a really big goal to move here and give myself and my possible future family a place to love and enjoy living in.

so im asking: will it still be possible for me to live in california within 7-10 years, and be comfortable and happy here?

i know this post is a bit naive of me, but i think i just want reassurance that there'll still be a place for me when/if i move to los angeles eventually.
