Hematologists are stumped, maybe Reddit can help.
34F 6’0” 290 lbs. Currently taking Zoloft, labetalol, omeprazole, ozempic and spironolactone for PCOS. I am coming to this sub to see if you are able to help me out with odd blood tests. I had a tonsillectomy in July 2024 and severe bleeding 11 days after. About 2 weeks after the severe bleeding I developed a large clot in my R arm (not where the IV was). Since August of last year I have seen two hematologists who have been stumped as to why my bloodwork is the way that it is. Do you have any insight as to what could be causing these results? Results are as follows:
WBC: 13.8 K/mcL RBC: 5.43 M/mcL MCV: 66.3 FL MCH: 19.3 pcg RDW: 17.2% Sed rate: 66 mm/hr CRP: 31.3 mg/L Haptoglobin: 290 mg/dL JAK2 V617F Mutation: negative Flow cytometry: negative
I have had a second opinion performed through my health insurance and they were unable to determine why the bloodwork is showing like this. If you need additional results to review, I can provide those as well as I’ve only included the abnormal results. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
