Should I enter tenure track? Honest opinions

I joined this group excited to learn more about prof life and tenure-track as I will begin my masters program in the fall to start on this journey.

However, I see a lot of vent posts here and it saddens me to hear students aren’t valuing education for education’s sake as much anymore. Nor having any respect for profs or the fields they’re studying.

I’m 30 and ultimately looking to teach some sort of creative studies — creativity as a science, innovation, etc. (I know it’s not typical but I LOVE this field). My question is, do you all see tenure-track being worth it? And if so, what are some tips for not letting it ruin my own personal relationships, managing increasing apathy among students, and any other issues you feel you are facing more as time goes on?

Idk, I’m just beginning this journey so I’m aware I prob have on rose-colored glasses but I’m also an optimistic person in general and not looking to change that. I am, however, looking for real opinions and realistic advice.
