Aquarium Safe?

I have a big beautiful piece of driftwood that absolutely refuses to sink. I’ve tried letting it soak and boiling it. I was wondering if it would work to glue large suction cups to the bottom of it and stick it right to the bottom glass? Is this glue aquarium safe? Do we think that idea would work or should i just get weights? Thanks!
