What is wrong with my fish?
My female celestial pearl danio/galaxy rasbora has been hiding at the top of the tank for a few days. I got a new high powered light and figured it was because the light was making her shy, but it seems like she is actually sick. I turned the brightness down to 35%, and it is on for 8 hours a day.
She looks bloated and pale. She has been sitting under my frogbit and not eating from what I can tell. The rest of the fish in the tank look good (last photo). But I feel they’ve been less active as well (flaring/chasing less often) but I thought it was just too bright for them and they needed to adjust.
Tank is 4 months old. Water is 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites, 25ppm nitrates. 20% water change every 2 weeks. I dose 3-4x/week with easy green (however much is needed to keep nitrates at 25ppm) I feed a mixture of tropical bug bites, hikari freeze dried brine shrimp, and freeze dried blood worms (both of which i cut very small and soak for 5 minutes in water before feeding). Stocked with 5 galaxy rasbora and red cherry shrimp.
Only thing of note I feel is important is I’ve had these fish for 2 months and I realized only two days ago I have been severely overfeeding them. I read somewhere they need to be fed 3x/DAY! So I was giving them a significant amount of food daily up until this point.
Please I am very worried, any help would be greatly appreciated.
