Snail invasion - what to do?

Today sitting down in front of my tank I realized I’m being INVADED by snails I do not recall purchasing. They must have come in as eggs on a plant. This is a 55 gal guppy community tank. What should I do and does anyone know what kind of snail this is? Do I need to work to eliminate or just pay no mind?
