NYU asked me for my banking info

Is this normal guys? They asked me for my banking info, routing number, my passport, my social security number, and even for the combination to my house lockers.

They were trying to make me pay 90k a year after I got accepted ED2. However, I told them that my family can't afford it and they were very generous and understanding about it... They said that they only needed to recalculate my aid, and asked me for some standard information... Also, I received an OTP for transferring all my funds to invest into Trump coin. I think it is something special with NYU.
