Low ferritin, normal B12

Hi guys - hoping for some advice.

Have had a blood test recently and shows my ferritin levels at 27. Other blood work shows that I am not officially anemic but have had symptoms like hair loss, fatigue and ectopic beats / palpitations.

GP seemed to think ferritin was fine and at a normal level despite having a previous blood test in 2018 where I had ferritin level of 83. So feels like it is low for me?

Have heavy periods so think this is why it is on the low side...

Any advice? I am taking OTC iron (floradix) didn't get offered a prescription just got told to buy iron tablets if I was concerned. Should I push for fumerous ferate? Iron transfusion?
