Replacing Chromecast 4k

Looking for advice on a Chromecast replacement please.

We just want something fast without the marketing - TIA.

What we want from the interface -

• Main features and playability of chromecast 4k (pay 2 view is not a feature).
• Snappy operation, speedy navigation - something that can keep up with my thumb (Google can't).
• Ability to remove ANY app. eg. Google TV marketing (no embedded apps).

What we don't want from the interface -

• Advertising.
• Recommendations for shows on apps we don't have installed.
• Recommendations for FTA TV apps (AU thing maybe).
• Recommendations for Google TV or any other Rent or Buy marketing.

Does this exist without modding OS / firmware?

Or are we dreaming of Unicorns?
