Negative Comversion: Help!

I was told to post this here. I’m about a week into learning how to convert my negatives into positives, and feel like I have hit a wall.

I’ve posted two pictures, taken with my Minolta x700/28-70/fuji400. Developed at Memphis film Labs<——awesome people btw.

the negative scan taken with an R5/100mm2.8(shot at F4 in Av)/ValoiEasy35, and converted manually in Lightroom. The picture feels off somehow, maybe?

Any help or critique would be greatly appreciated.
