Gatwick South - No.1 Lounge or Club Aspire??

Flying out at 7am in two weeks, will be at the airport from 5am. Seen different posts commenting on club lounges and a £15 surcharge but don't see any mention of that on the AMEX platinum site. Looking for some advice as to which lounge is best. Flying solo, not business.
