How long does it take to recover your cycle?
I have been eating in a calorie surplus (2500) for several months now after experiencing long-term period loss due to restrictive eating and am now up to 135 pounds as a 5’5” 20 year old woman. I do not exercise besides walking and am starting to become frustrated with still having an absent cycle. My OBGYN’s recommendation is BC and I really am not in favor of this option. Does anyone have a similar experience? I am struggling to find a medial professional who specializes in amenorrhea recovery and am feeling unclear about what my timeline should be.
