AITA for changing in a locker room?

This just happened a few hours ago. My teenage daughter and I went to a hotel / water park. I wore my swimming trunks from our hotel room across the parking lot into the indoor water park.

When we were done I went to the men's "locker" room. I put that in quotes because there are no actual lockers there. Just one shower with a curtain and an open room with benches on the wall. Seeing no better place, I sat down on a bench, stripped off my trunks and dried myself off, getting ready to put on my underwear and jeans.

It was that at this point that one man started spouting off. It took me a while to realize he was talking about me because he wasn't talking to me, just into the open air. I needed to cover up. There were kids present. I needed to cover my <gay slur> self up. There were kids present.

I looked up and saw a young 30's dad with three small boys. He wasn't looking directly at me, just sort of into the center of the room.

I mentally shrugged and just continued dressing. I was naked for maybe 30 seconds. I did notice no one else using the room was naked, just drying off.

I finished getting dressed and left with no further incident.

To me, a locker room is where you change clothes. Otherwise, why have men's and women's locker rooms?

Still, I wonder if the dad had a point about small children. I could have waited until the shower was available and gone in there to change. It would have been awkward without a dry bench to put my clothes on but I could have managed it.

So AITA for getting naked at water park's locker room when there are small children present?
