AIO My Flatmate is Driving Me Crazy – Need Advice

I’m a 22-year-old Indian international student studying in the U.S., and I live with a flatmate who is also an Indian international student (23 years old). While I thought it would be nice to have someone from a similar background as a flatmate, it’s turned into a frustrating situation. Here’s what’s been going on:

1.  **Endless Blabbering:**

He talks way too much and most of his conversations are immature, resembling the vibe of a “kitty party auntie” back in India. It’s filled with subtle taunts or inappropriate comments about my private conversations, sometimes in front of my friends. It’s incredibly annoying and feels intrusive.

2.  **Weed Consumption Issues:**

We both got weed together (it’s legal in my state), and I consume it moderately—about one joint a day, mixed with a cigarette. However, he smokes all the time, uses way more than necessary, and wastes it because he doesn’t know how to roll properly. Despite buying it together, he’s using most of it, leaving me feeling cheated.

3.  **Personality Challenges:**

He’s a classic “can’t take no for an answer” type. He always insists his (often nonsensical) opinions are correct, gets defensive or offended when things don’t go his way, and speaks without making much sense. He even cuts me off when I’m talking privately or with friends, making it hard for me to enjoy my time or have peaceful conversations.

I’ve been trying to stay quiet and mature about the situation, but it’s becoming harder to tolerate. How do I handle this in a way that keeps my sanity intact without escalating the situation?
