Aurora R9 with EVGA 3080Ti FTW3 Ultra
Road my bike by a local Microcenter yesterday morning, poked my head in a managed to score a EVGA EVGA 3080ti. Through a few threads in here, figured out how to get it into my Aurora R9 (Thank you to all who shared what they did!). I moved the intake fan up to the top with a Noctua 15mm where the mechanical drive would go. I also had to perform some surgery, bending back the metal at the end (you can see in pic) and removing the triangle piece under the PS to allow for the case to close. My next step is to figure out how to structurally support the GPU and PS now that I've taken some of that support away.
My R9 has the stock water cooled i7-9700K cpu and the temps for both CPU and GPU are good. Even with the case closed up. Ran various games (Cyberpunk, Watchdogs, Fortnite) on Ultra settings and temps of the GPU never got past 70-75C. GPU idles around 30C-40C.
