CDC availability alternatives?

Currently don’t have childcare for my 4 month old. Our best friend’s wife watches him in the morning until 0930, but that’s it. Thankfully, my husband is a newsroom director and gets off around that time in the morning. But now they are going on leave for 2 weeks and we’re a bit SOL. We have been on MCC list since I was 6 weeks pregnant, but obviously mil-mil & CDC workers are above us on the list. Projected CDC spot for our son is still 2 months after the date care needed.

Any alternatives besides FCC? That’s also projected as 2 months after date care needed. It’s just really disappointing and stressful. I really don’t want my husband to have to quit his job. 😞Thanks for any advice!
