Quick and dirty attempt at Chinese unit pronunciations guide

I'm no linguist but here's how to pronounce the chinese gods and units. I tried to use english words to represent the sounds where possible, and my goal is to get close enough while keeping it simple, so don't @ me.

Major Gods

Fuxi - Foo Sh-YEE

Nüwa - Nyuu Wah (the Nü is like the -nu in “menu” but say it with your lips almost closed or a french accent)

Shennong - Sh-uhn (rhymes with gold-EN) Known

Classical Gods

Xuannü - Sh-yw-æn Nyuu (say it fast like ‘Schwann’ with a Y slipped right before the W)

Myth Unit: Qilin - Ch-YEE Lean

Chiyou - Chhh Yo (The sound you make when you shush someone, but with a CH sound)

Myth Unit: Yazi - Yah Zz (Like stressing the Z syllable in buzz)

Houtu - Hoe Too

Myth unit: Qiongqi - Ch-yone (like ‘gonna’ without the second syllable) Ch-YEE

Heroic Gods

Goumang - Go Mong (like the first syllable of ‘mongrel’)

Myth Unit: Taowu - Tall Woo

Nüba - Nyuu bah

Myth Unit: Taotie - Tall Tier (with the R sound cut off)

Rushou - Roo Show

Myth Unit: Baihu - Bye Who

Mythic Gods

Gonggong - Gon Gon (like ‘gonna’ without the second syllable)

Myth Unit: Qinglong - Ch-YEE-ing Lone (again, rhymes with ‘gonna’ without the second syllable)

Huangdi - Hwong (rhymes with ‘song’) Dee

Myth Unit: Hundun - Hoon Doon (say tuna without the -ah sound)

Zhurong - Zh-oo (Zh is like the sound in ‘pleasure’) Rone (rhymes with ‘gonna’ without the second syllable)

Myth Unit: Zhuque - Zh-oo (Zh is same as above) Ch-weh(like ‘check’ with a W sound slipped in)

Human Units

Dao Swordsman - Exactly as it looks

Ge Halberdier - Guh

Wuzu Javelineer - Exactly as it looks

Heroes

Jiang Ziya - Jee-yang (rhymes with song) Zz Yah (Zz is like stressing the Z syllable in buzz)

Yang Jian - Yang (rhymes with song) Jee-yen

Li Jing - Lee Jee-ing (say it fast)

Wen Zhong - Woo-en (say it fast) Zh-Ohn (Zh like pleasure, Ohn rhymes with the first part of ‘gonna’)

Nezha - Nuh Zha (Zh is like the sound in ‘pleasure’)

Others

Chiwen (naval myth unit) - Chhh (Like 'shhh') Woo-en
