what does this guy want?

I'm autistic and genuinely need help understanding. I (27transman) met this guy (29m) on grindr and felt like we had a good connection and chemistry. he showed a lot of affection seemed to like me. we met three times and then he told me he's leaving the country for a few months. I was really sad and asked for his social media so we can keep contact but he said he "wants to keep a secret here", I guess referring to grindr. ten days later it was valentines day and I was sad and lonely and texted him "thinking about you". he didn't reply but liked the comment at some point (liking a comment doesn't send a notification). two weeks later he texted me asking how I've been. I replied and it took him 24 hours to reply back. I asked "how is (country he's in)" and again, a full day later he replied "it's ok, how's (country I'm in)". I replied shortly and left it at that. a few weeks later I was again sad and lonely so texted asking how he was. this time he took about 48 hours to reply, despite being online frequently. honestly, if it wasn't for that one text he initiated I would think that he wasn't interested but it really confused me. I honestly cannot tell what's going on. can someone help me understand? thank you
