How to forgive someone who didn’t ask for forgiveness?

It was someone I got close with at work. We do everything together, lunch breaks, overtimes and so on. We are the same level at work.

Then one day we fought over some baseless rumors involving a common friend that involves her partner at the time and she chose her partner over our friendship.

She even formed a new set of friends and I kind of had a vibe that they are gossiping about me. I resigned from work not because of this but to pursue a personal career goal. And I even asks for forgiveness from her, even though we are equally at fault.

Tbh, I don’t want her in my life. She’s kind of toxic and all that. It is just that I feel that there’s something that’s keeping me from going on with my life. I feel that I should be the one who stayed and not the other way around.

I need to hear your cents on how to move on from this. Thanks!
